With certified organic quality (DE-ÖKO-006), we offer ready-to-cook blends that are quick to prepare, long-lasting and wonderfully versatile. Wherever possible, we take care to source every single ingredient in our products from Germany, even when these cost more than ingredients produced abroad. As a regionally rooted company, we keep our supply routes as short as possible. Our vision? Plant-based food that tastes good and fits into everyday life. 10 Years of the Lentil Patty

The lentil patty celebrates its 10th anniversary at festivals and markets. It is also offered in kindergartens as the “Goldtaler” — a complete success. Children love the patties and parents are delighted by the vegetarian alternative.

Ready-Made Blend in Organic Quality

Petra decides to bring the recipe to market in a bag. One thing is clear: 100% organic! Trading partners, too, must meet strict criteria: fair working conditions and responsible conduct. The first production site is established at the Vaußhof in Scharmede. Sales to the first private and commercial customers begin.

Growth & New Directions

Arnd joins as a partner, bringing a breath of fresh air to the company. More and more organic and package-free shops across Germany are supplied.

Move to Salzkotten

New commercial premises are rented in Salzkotten. A new logo takes shape — from the duo of Arnd Drossel and Petra Kaiser emerges the Kaiserdrossel, the bird that brings the lentil.

Launch of the Lentil-Growing Project

The first lentils are sown in the fields of the Paderborn region in cooperation with Schloß Hamborn. A partnership with Lebenshilfe Detmold begins, integrating social and regional aspects into the company structure. 2nd place in the “WeltverBesserer” competition.

You Reap What You Sow

The lentil-growing project becomes a complete success, yielding a record harvest of 4 tonnes of lentils. At the same time, media presence continues to grow — for example through the podcast “Alles in Butter” with WDR5 chef Helmut Gote.

Public Interest Grows

Meat alternatives and vegetarian and vegan diets are becoming ever more popular in Germany. Linsenmanufaktur makes its first major television appearance on WDR in the news programme “Aktuelle Stunde”.
